England, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka Give A Glimpse of Cricket World Cup Uniforms – SportsLogos.Net News

With the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup right around the corner, the three national teams whose kits we hadn’t seen yet have finally given us a glimpse of what they’ll be wearing in India over the next month.

Defending World Cup champions England have taken their current one-day international kits, made by Castore, and tweaked them slightly for the upcoming tournament. The shirt features a pattern with geometric shapes in different shades of blue, with red gradient streaks throughout. “ENGLAND” is spelled out in white across the midsection, replacing the logo of sponsor Cinch from the ODI kits, which moves to the left sleeve. The England Cricket Board crest sits on the left chest, with one star over top to mark their 2019 World Cup win. The 2023 World Cup logo appears in white on the right chest. The standup collar and sleeve cuffs are solid blue, with white trim on the cuffs.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan make their third World Cup appearance in kits made by Tyka Sports. The front of the shirt is dark blue and is covered in a pattern of light blue and red diamonds; each of those diamonds are made of smaller diamonds fading out in a halftone pattern. “AFGHANISTAN” is spelled out in white across the midsection. The polo collar and sleeves are solid light blue, while the inner placket of the collar and sleeve cuffs are red.

The Sri Lankan national team will sport their current one-day international kits in India with a few small tweaks — the same kits they’ve been wearing in warmup matches in recent weeks. The base of the kits is royal blue, with a swirling lighter blue pattern across the front and back. “SRI LANKA” is spelled out across the midsection in gold. Under that on the left side of the front of the shirt is a abstract lion made up of gold and light blue swirls. The collar is trimmed in light blue, and the Sri Lankan flag sits on the left chest while the World Cup log appears in white on the right chest.
